Earn up to 12 CE hours in Culturally Attuned Couple Therapy. You will learn about the components and phases of cultural attunement and how to incorporate them in couple therapy. You will hear from an Andean couple and an Andean therapist. This training will also be a collaborative learning experience: you will be asked to reflect on your cultural assumptions and biases and to share your therapeutic cross-cultural experiences and challenges.


About the Trainer

Michael Brown is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Gottman Therapist, Couples’ Workshop Leader, Advanced Clinical Trainer, and Consultant in private practice in St. Augustine, Florida. He has trained hundreds of therapists in Gottman Method Couples therapy since 2015. He lived and worked in Peru for 10 years and his wife, Margot, is from Cusco. He also worked with the White Mountain Apache Tribe in Eastern Arizona in suicide prevention and substance abuse treatment for 8 years before going into private practice.


Fees

The fee for the training is $800, with an Early Registration Discount of $100 if registered by January 1, 2026. The training fee does not include hotel accommodations, food, or tour fees. The hotel accommodations, food, and tour fees and services will be handled by our travel partner, Pathfinder Peru. You will need to purchase your own airline tickets.
