Happy Couples Healthy Communities hosted the Art and Science of Love Weekend Workshop for Couples this past weekend, May 30-31, in Glendale, AZ. It was a good learning experience and the feedback from the couples was overwhelmingly positive. Here are some samples of the feedback:

For the first day, which focuses on the friendship and admiration system:

“At the end we could laugh and talk about our relationship and the good moments we have shared. Also, I got to know my wife better than before and learned something new about her.”

“There were several very powerful moments that occurred during the exercises, which I didn’t expect would take place. My partner and I are leaving in a better place than when we arrived.”

“We had been in conflict upon arriving today. The exercises and discussions today brought emotion and levity and brought us more back to center and helped to calm things between us.”

For the second day of the Art and Science of Love Workshop, which focuses on managing conflict in the relationship:

“Felt like a safe place to have dialogue and work through some conflict issues… So very helpful to learn how to help slow down our conflict to help find resolution.”

“Actually experiencing GRIDLOCK turn into dialogue–Powerful! Considering and writing and sharing our Life Mission and Legacy–Also powerful and eye opening.”

“Optimism has once again been restored, as well as a positive outlook.”

“We learned to listen to each other and to try to resolve things when we don’t agree to have a more harmonious relationship.”

“Now I know what I have to deal with and what he has to deal with and what we can change together to have a better relationship.”

“I got to understand the underlying dreams and fears of my partner.”

“Thank you–So happy we attended and feel more hopeful about my marriage!”
